MTV VMA 2022: Lil Nas X, Jack Harlow dan Kendrick Raih Nominasi Terbanyak

Selebtek.suara.com - MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) 2022 telah mengumumkan daftar nominasinya. Lil Nas X mendapat tujuh nominasi, yang menempatkannya dalam posisi yang sama dengan Jack Harlow dan Kendrick Lamar.

Doja Cat menjadi nominator wanita teratas tahun ini dengan enam nominasi, bersama dengan Harry Styles, 

Sementara itu, Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, dan The Weeknd masing-masing menerima lima nominasi. 

Grup Kpop BTS adalah grup atau duo yang paling banyak dinominasikan, dengan empat nominasi. Dan Bad Bunny menjadi artis Latin pertama yang dinominasikan sebagai Artist of the Year berhadapan dengan Drake, Styles, Harlow, Lil Nas X dan Lizzo.

MTV memperluas jumlah nominasi untuk penghargaan tertinggi, video of the year, menjadi tujuh untuk pertama kalinya dalam sejarah 39 tahun acara tersebut. Ada juga tujuh nominasi di sini untuk artis tahun ini, kolaborasi terbaik dan alternatif terbaik.

MTV juga menambahkan kategori baru tahun ini yaitu penghargaan 'Best metaverse performance.'

MTV VMA 2022 akan digelar pada hari Minggu, 28 Agustus, pukul 20.00 ET/PT dan disiarkan langsung dari Prudential Center di Newark, New Jersey, Amerika Serikat.

Mulai Selasa (27/7/2022), penggemar dapat memilih favorit mereka di 22 kategori netral gender dengan mengunjungi vote.mtv.com. Voting ditutup Jumat, 19 Agustus (kecuali kategori Best new artist).
