Acara ini memang tidak menggelar upacara resmi mengingat adanya pandemi virus corona atau COVID-19.

Billie Eilish menerima penghargaan cukup banyak. Lalu ada juga BTS yang menerima piala untuk kategori Best Music Video.

Lalu ada juga BLACKPINK yang memenangkan Favorite Music Video Choreography untuk lagu Kill This Love.
